LTF Recruitment are looking for an experienced Teaching Assistant or qualified HLTA to join the support staff team of our dedicated and inclusive partner school in Central Coventry. As a HLTA you will complement the work of teachers by taking responsibility for agreed learning activities under an agreed system of supervision, monitor pupils, assessing, recording, and reporting on pupils' achievement, progress, and development. There would also be a responsibly to cover classes for planning, preparation, and assessment (PPA) time. The role is based working in Reception working alongside two Teachers, and EYFS consultant and another HLTA and offered on a long-term basis with the potential to become permanent for the successful candidate.
Main Duties will include:
- Working 1:1 with children as well as delivering group support, across Reception
- Helping to engage SEN pupils and encouraging interaction.
- Supporting children with reading, writing and their work.
- Supporting the Class teacher with delivery of lessons, and leading class sessions during PPA time
- Prepare and deliver planned learning activities to smaller groups and whole classes.
To be successful in the role you will:
- Have at least one years' experience working within a school.
- Be HLTA qualified, desirable but not essential.
- Have knowledge of the EYFS Curriculum.
- Have a good understanding of supporting SEN students.
- Have excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Be able to quickly build relationships with students and staff.
