Highways Engineer (Routine Maintenance)
  • Salary: £37,363 - £41,438 (Pay award pending)

Join Doncaster Council during an exciting time of development and be a part of a vibrant and nurturing environment. We are seeking a dedicated Highways Engineer to support our team in managing and maintaining the highway network, ensuring safety and quality in our services.

Day to day of the role:
  • Support the Senior Highways Engineer in conducting highway safety and service inspections.
  • Ensure inspections and maintenance are carried out correctly, on time, and to a high standard, using a risk-based approach.
  • Programme and manage annual machine and condition surveys, process data to produce Road Condition Indicators, and support the development of the annual Highway Maintenance Schemes Programme.
  • Work in a busy operational environment, providing essential services to customers and building effective relationships with partners.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
  • Experience working within an operational Highways Environment.
  • Well-organised, flexible, and able to work in a fast-paced setting.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to build effective relationships.
  • Solutions and results-focused with a team player attitude.
