KS3/4 Teacher of History

We are supporting a Secondary Academy in Bromley who are recruiting for a History teacher on a full-time basis, from 2nd September 2024.

The successful teacher will be asked to teach History Education to key stage 3 & 4 classes of varying academic abilities. Experience of teaching required subjects are preferred and you must have strong knowledge of safeguarding policies within the educational sector.

This role could suit newly qualified teachers, qualified teachers or experienced teachers who are expected to commit to full time employment, folllowing school ethos and participate in general running of the school including general duties.

CONTRACT/POSITION DETAILS

  • Contract type - Long-term, turns into permanent
  • Full time
  • Minimum rate of pay - match to outer London payscale
  • Hours - 8:15 am - 4pm

EXPERIENCE, TRAINING AND QUALIFICATIONS

  • Degree educated with a good classification
  • Secondary QTS (PGCE, SCITT, B.Ed, QTS, etc) in History
  • Previous experience teaching History to young people (which we can reference)
  • Experience of teaching in a UK Secondary School (which we can reference)
  • Up to date Safeguarding training issued in the last year (essential, training can be provided)

TO BE ELIGIBLE FOR THIS ROLE THROUGH PROSPERO TEACHING, YOU MUST:

  • Hold Right to Work in the UK
  • Hold an enhanced DBS certificate that is on the update service or be willing to process a new application
  • Provide at least two professional child related references to cover the last two years
