History Teacher

GSL Education are searching for a qualified History Teacher to join a school in South Shields, Tyne & Wear.

Job Summary:

  • Teaching historical events, timelines, and figures through lectures, discussions, and multimedia presentations.
  • Creating lesson plans and syllabi that meet educational standards and objectives.
  • Designing and grading exams, essays, and projects to evaluate students' understanding and analytical skills.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging and educational history lessons.
  • Plan and deliver engaging and comprehensive history lessons to students.
  • Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment.
  •  Assess and monitor student progress, providing constructive feedback.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to enhance the curriculum and school activities.
  • Participate in professional development opportunities.

Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
  • Strong subject knowledge and a passion for history.
  • Ability to inspire and motivate students.
  • Previous teaching experience is desirable but not essential.
