Responsibilities:

  • Plan and deliver high-quality history lessons aligned with the school’s curriculum and objectives.

  • Adapt teaching strategies to meet the diverse learning needs of students, fostering an inclusive and supportive classroom environment.

  • Stimulate student’s interest in history through creative and interactive teaching methods, encouraging exploration and inquiry.

  • Regularly assess student progress and provide constructive feedback to support their academic development.

  • Collaborate with colleagues to contribute to the school’s history department and participate in professional development opportunities.

Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) with a specialisation in History or related field.

  • Must provide 2 professional references.

  • Eligibility to work in the UK.

  • An enhanced DBS on updated service or willingness to get one.

  • Previous experience teaching History at the secondary level.

  • Passion for fostering critical thinking, historical analysis, and a love for the subject in students.

  • Strong communication, interpersonal, and organisational skills.
