HLTA / Cover Supervisor

Your New School
A long term job has become available to support all ages within a secondary school in Caerphilly. The school are looking for someone to run interventions across all age groups and help out with cover lessons when needed.

Your New Role

• PPA cover
• Monitoring the effectiveness of implemented learning activities
• Maintain and analysing records of pupils progress.
• Implementing learning interventions
• Liaising between other staff, pupils and parents.

What you'll need to succeed
You will be enthusiastic and approachable, ensuring that the children are encouraged, engaged and on task. You will monitor the progress of the children, adapting support methods accordingly, and provide feedback to the management team.
In order to apply for this role you will need to have:

• Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA status) Qualification
• Strong literacy and numeracy skills
• Excellent communication
• Knowledge of IT
• Experience working with individuals, small groups and whole classes.
• A strong work ethic and a team player
• A genuine desire to support the learning and development of the children
• Excellent organisational and interpersonal skills
