Are you a Higher Level Teaching Assistant looking for flexible working?

Here at Long-Term Teachers, we are working closely with a Primary School in the heart of Weston-Super-Mare who are looking for a HLTA to join their team.

As part of this 2 form entry school in BS22, you will be joining a hardworking and dedicated team of staff at the school who support each other and have opportunities for professional development.



The Role

This is a Full-Time position from September. You will be expected to provide teaching and learning support for the educational and personal needs of pupils, which ensures that they have equality of access to opportunities to learn and develop.

You will need to be a flexible candidate, someone who is able to move across different year groups, supporting cover and interventions.

You will be expected to:

  • Have a real passion for working with all Primary Aged children.

  • Be able to engage children in their learning.

  • Build strong, positive relationships with children, staff and parents.

  • Thrive on challenging children’s abilities.

  • Have previous teaching experience and a great knowledge of the Primary Curriculum.

  • Have experience working with SEND children in the past.
