Reed Education is looking for a dedicated Higher-Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) to support teachers and students within primary schools across Wakefield. This role is ideal for someone who is passionate about education and eager to make a positive impact on young learners.
Day to day of the role:- Collaborate with teachers to plan, deliver, and evaluate lessons, ensuring effective student engagement.
- Conduct targeted sessions to reinforce learning objectives for students who need additional assistance.
- Assist in assessing student progress and maintaining accurate records.
- Implement behavior management strategies to create a positive and inclusive learning environment.
- Work with teachers to enhance the curriculum through creativity and innovation.
- Establish effective communication with parents and guardians to engage them in their children’s education.
- Level 3 Higher Level Teaching Assistant qualification or equivalent.
- Proven experience as a Teaching Assistant, ideally at a higher level, with a strong understanding of classroom dynamics.
- Comprehensive understanding of the national curriculum and educational best practices.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and take initiative.
- Adaptable approach to meet the evolving needs of the school and its students.
