Academics are currently recruiting for a Higher Level Teaching Assistant to work three days a week, at a lovely, Welsh medium primary school, in Caerphilly.
The ideal candidate will be someone who has experience working in education, happy to prepare lessons when required to do so and is flexible. You must be a fluent Welsh speaker to apply for this role.
The role is from September 2024 and for the duration of the academic year
The role of a HLTA
- Assist the teacher in delivering successful lessons
- Work with pupils in small groups and on a 1:1 basis
- Build and maintain professional relationships with other staff members
- Be a role model to all pupils
- Plan occasional lessons
- Be responsible for class on occasions

What we need from you
- Fluent Welsh Speaker
- An enhanced DBS check (essential) which is subscribed to the DBS Update Service (desirable)
- Registration with the Education Workforce Council (EWC)
- Two recent and professional references
