Home based Property Surveyor East London patch

Your new company
Excellent opportunity to join a Retirement Housing provider who work across the UK. You will be joining their successful Property team who are responsible for delivering reactive and planned maintenance projects on a variety of retirement property including flats, bungalows and within communal areas. This is a permanent opportunity to manage maintenance projects in their East London patch consisting of 30+ sites.

Your new role
As the Property Surveyor, you will be responsible for both reactive and planned maintenance projects. Each site has an in-house property manager who is the first point of contact for tenants and will manage day to day repairs issues, including managing contractors. The Property Manager will seek advice from you when required regarding day-to-day repairs. As the Property Surveyor, you will conduct quarterly surveys to identify defects and will be responsible for the planned maintenance programme. Planned maintenance projects are likely to include interior and exterior painting and decorating, fire safety and window and door replacements. This is a home based role covering the East London patch. You will be required to visit projects to monitor progress and meet the property managers when required. Mileage is paid from home and all sites offer free parking.

What you'll need to succeed
In order to be successful for this role, you will need to be an experienced surveyor within residential property and ideally have gained exposure to both reactive and planned maintenance projects. You should like within commutable distance of East London and will be required to provide a vehicle for work purposes. Excellent verbal and written communication skills are essential and you should be competent to work independently and as part of a team.
