Homeownership Manager Thurrock Temp - Perm PAY RATE: £350.00 LTD / £298.38 PAYE (inc. holiday) We are currently recruiting for an experienced Homeownership Manager to lead and oversee the delivery of high-quality leasehold management and Right to Buy services for a Local Authority in Thurrock. THE ROLE As Homeownership Manager, you will be responsible for leading a team delivering efficient and legally compliant Homeownership services, ensuring excellent customer care and maximising income collection.
Oversee and manage the Leasehold Management and Right to Buy services
Ensure accurate and timely billing for service charges, ground rent and major works
Lead on statutory Section 20 consultations and leaseholder communications
Handle complex leaseholder enquiries and complaints professionally and promptly
Provide expert legal advice on leasehold matters, compliance and service development
Represent the council at tribunals, leaseholder forums and internal/external meetings
Manage and motivate the Homeownership team including performance, recruitment, and development
THE CANDIDATE The ideal candidate will have significant experience managing Homeownership or Leasehold Services within a local authority or housing association setting.
Strong knowledge of the Housing Act 1985 and leasehold legislation
Experience overseeing service charge estimates, billing, and recovery
Proven ability to manage statutory Right to Buy processes
Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills
Skilled in team leadership, service development, and legal compliance
