Here at Contract Personnel, we are recruiting an experienced Horticultural Service Technician to join a well-established, market leading machinery supplier. As a successful candidate, you will be required to work as part of well trained and experienced team, based at our client’s Essex branch.

Reporting to the Service Manager, you will be expected to ensure maintenance and repair are carried out on machinery sold by our client, within the allocated region. Please note, some heavy lifting and manual work are required.

Essential Skills & Experience:

-          Responsible for the repair and maintenance of horticultural machinery, sold by our client

-          Knowledge of domestic/professional garden machinery is a plus

-          Prior experience of maintenance and customer services

-          Ability to diagnose electrical or fuel faults and repair

-          Ensuring job cards are always updated in relation to the work completed

-          Ability to lift and move heavy machinery – common sense is a contributing factor

-          Can work alone or part of a team

-          Strong customer service skills – both in person and over the phone

-          Full UK driving license

The Role:

Contract: Full time, permanent

Location: Fyfield, Essex

Hours: 39 hours per week

8am to 5pm Monday to Thursday, 8am to 4pm Fridays (1 hour unpaid lunch daily)

Overtime: 1.5x after 39 hour completion

Salary: Market competitive (experience based), plus company car
