Hospitality Duty Manager

Day-to-day of the role:

  • Oversee the operations of the premises in the absence of the Manager and Assistant Manager.
  • Ensure the unit’s profitability and improvement by adhering to the Company’s standards and policies.
  • Lead by example to foster a positive and respectful team culture.
  • Manage variable costs effectively to maintain profitability.
  • Contribute ideas and feedback for business planning, including promotions and events.
  • Deliver high-quality customer service, ensuring customer satisfaction and a strong management presence during peak hours.
  • Train the team in upselling techniques and personalized customer service.
  • Control stock according to Company procedures, including handling, portioning, and minimizing wastage.
  • Assist in managing labour costs by adapting to changes in demand.
  • Identify training needs and participate in staff training to uphold Company performance standards.
  • Ensure compliance with all legal and Company requirements for hygiene, food safety, health, and safety.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in a similar role within the hospitality sector.
  • Strong leadership skills and the ability to work professionally with a team.
  • Excellent customer service skills with a focus on customer satisfaction.
  • Ability to manage variable costs and contribute to business planning.
  • Knowledge of stock control procedures and compliance with hygiene and safety regulations.
  • A proactive approach to team development and performance management.
