Hotel Data and BI Manager

Our client is a rapidly changing hotel business looking for an ambitious Hotel Data and BI Manager to join their team on a 6-month fixed-term basis, based remotely anywhere from the UK with travel to the Midlands required once a month.

This job would suit someone with proven experience in Data Analytics and Reporting with knowledge of the hotel or hospitality industry to take responsibility for creating a suite of reports for the business both from scratch and using existing reports. Furthermore, this role will look to ensure that key internal stakeholders understand the insights that these reports are providing and their implications for the business.

This is a leading hotel brand with sites across the UK and Europe offering luxury, exceptional service, and breathtaking locations. They are currently developing the technology across the business having brought in a new senior management team in 2023.

The successful individual will be an experienced analytics or BI Manager with a track record of working in the hotel or hospitality sector creating and delivering key reports and insights for the business. Excellent communication and presentation skills tare essential to deliver data-driven insights to both technical and non-technical audiences. Good SQL knowledge is essential in using querying languages for data extraction and previous experience of visualisation tools such as Tableau or Power BI is key. Excellent Excel skills are a prerequisite.

Duties will include:

• Partner with the revenue team to understand their data needs and translate them into actionable data strategies.
• Identify and implement data automation solutions to enhance efficiency and free up the revenue team's time for strategic initiatives
• Generate data-driven recommendations to improve pricing strategies, resource allocation, and overall revenue performance.
• Extract, transform, and load (ETL) data from various sources, including Opera Version 5, Infor Vision Q&A, Opera Cloud, and Oracle R&A.
• Utilize advanced Excel skills to create insightful dashboards, reports, and visualizations for effective communication.
• Stay up-to-date on industry trends and best practices in hospitality data analytics
