Housekeeper (Hotel)

• Hourly rate: £11.50ph

We are seeking a dedicated Housekeeper to maintain the highest standard of cleanliness within our hotel. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, the ability to work both within a team and independently, and a keen eye for detail to ensure a safe and welcoming environment for all guests.

Day to Day of the role:

• Clean all rooms in the designated area, including furniture, fittings, fabrics, carpets, and equipment.
• Adhere to health and safety at work and COSSH regulations.
• Maintain a safe environment at all times, including the use of wet floor signs and safe storage practices.
• Clean sanitary equipment with attention to guidelines on the type of detergent to use.
• Report any equipment or fittings in need of repair.
• Dispose of waste correctly and promote the economy to minimise waste of cleaning materials.
• Follow the general cleaning rota and complete weekly tasks.
• Clean bedrooms and private areas, such as en-suite bathrooms, discreetly while respecting confidentiality and privacy.
• Clean brassware, light fittings, and other items as part of the cleaning schedule.
• Address carpet stains and odours immediately.
• Report any repeated problems that may need attention, such as resident non-compliance.
• Keep floors free of debris at all times and cooperate with team members to prioritise specific areas as needed.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Proven experience as a Housekeeper or in a similar cleaning role.
• Knowledge of cleaning techniques and sanitation regulations.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Good organisational skills and the ability to identify and prioritise tasks.
• Awareness of health and safety regulations.
