Job Title: Housing Advisor

Location: Central London

Contract Details: Temporary, Full Time

Salary: £19.05 - £24.91 per hour

Responsibilities:

  • Act as the first point of contact for residents, providing professional and responsive customer service via telephone, email, and face-to-face interactions.
  • Proactively resolve residents' queries and concerns, ensuring their satisfaction and promoting a positive customer experience.
  • Schedule appointments and coordinate with specialist support teams to ensure seamless hand-offs.
  • Maintain accurate records of interactions and outcomes using the relevant ICT systems.
  • Support vulnerable residents through outbound contacts, consultations, and satisfaction surveys.
  • Undertake various customer service support activities, such as forms processing and document management.
  • Collaborate with mobile staff and specialist teams to provide comprehensive support and assistance.
  • Consistently meet customer service targets and uphold service standards set by our client.
  • Comply with organisational policies and procedures, including equality of opportunity and health and safety guidelines.
  • Demonstrate professional behaviour aligned with our client's values and code of conduct.
  • Flexibly manage working hours, including evening and weekend shifts when required.

Essential Requirements:

  • Experience and knowledge of housing policies and procedures.
  • Northgate system use
  • Previous experience in direct resident-facing roles.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook or similar applications.
  • Excellent customer focus and communication skills.
  • Ability to prioritise tasks effectively and meet deadlines.
  • Confidence in managing difficult conversations.
  • Strong team player mentality.
  • Willingness to learn and adapt to new situations.
  • Commitment to equality and inclusion.
  • Good writing skills.

Desirable:

  • Experience in a call centre or face-to-face in housing repairs service.
  • Familiarity with relevant technologies and software.
