£14.78-£16.51 per hour

37 hours Monday-Friday

Duration: Review every three months

Opus People Solutions are recruiting on behalf of Brentwood Borough Council for a Housing and Communities Service Navigator. This role will be required to work at Brentwood Borough Council. Most of the role is office based, however once the person is familiar with the role, there may be occasional opportunities to work from home.

The employee will be required to assist the Council to provide support to those who are settled across both Brentwood and Rochford from Ukraine and assist both Council's to successfully deliver the activities set out within the grant funding Business Case.

Responsibilities:

  • To carry out checks to proposed host properties, and input and upload various information to relevant systems as directed by the Government.
  • Support residents in looking for suitable move on accommodation within the private sector including advising on Local Housing
  • Allowance levels and to negotiate suitable rental costs with Landlords.
  • To identify and recommend applicants that meets the referral criteria for these schemes.
  • Provide support to Ukraine families to navigate Council Services and access relevant support, including being the appointed point of contact for families.
  • Provide the link between the communities and housing teams and assist the teams to deliver the activities outlined in the business case.
  • Complete all government returns in relation to grant funding and administer the applications process for CVS organisations to be able to access grant funding.
