Housing Management Officer.

This is a part time 20 hours a week, permanent role and offers a salary of £16,462.93 and requires you to drive.

As a management officer, you’ll take responsibility for the effective and efficient implementation, administration, development and monitoring of Housing Benefit payments, rents and residents’ accommodation charges. Therefore, you must have excellent finance experience to be capable in being able to do the necessary calculations.

Main duties:

  • To be responsible for Health and Safety.
  • To establish and maintain detailed monitoring systems. To complete all monitoring and paperwork related to the supported accommodation and all relevant Housing Management Quality Assurance Frameworks.
  • To advise and assist service users in relation to claiming accommodation and other related benefits.
  • To monitor all Panahghar Accommodations/Buildings to ensure they are well maintained and in good repair and undertake good housekeeping and make arrangements and supervise contractors and workmen and women.
  • To provide housing support to vulnerable women and children giving due regard to safeguarding children and adults to promote independence.
  • Although you will be based in Leicester, there will be travelling involved across Leicestershire, Solihull and Coventry therefore access to a vehicle is essential.

Essential requirements:

  • Strong background in working with people who have been victims of domestic violence and abuse. You will have worked for a non-profit organisation and have a good knowledge of how the benefits system works.
  • Experience in a similar setting.
  • A solid understanding of the benefits system is crucial.
  • Strong interpersonal skills are a must, enabling you to cultivate positive relationships with colleagues, volunteers, external agencies, and service users.
  • A valid driving license, access to a vehicle, and business insurance are essential
