- Hourly Rate: £29.12 (Umbrella)
- Location: London – Wembley and Brent
- Job Type: Contract – 6 weeks with possible extension
We are currently looking for a Housing Officer with a solid background in generic housing management to join a social housing team in London. This role is crucial for maintaining high standards of housing management and tenant satisfaction within the community.
Day-to-day of the role:
- Manage a portfolio of properties, ensuring effective tenancy and leasehold management.
- Act as the main point of contact for tenants, addressing queries and resolving issues in a timely manner.
- Conduct property inspections to ensure they meet safety and maintenance standards.
- Coordinate with maintenance teams to arrange necessary repairs and improvements.
- Handle tenancy agreements, including new tenancies, renewals, and terminations.
- Engage with the community to build strong relationships and address housing concerns.
- Implement housing policies and procedures to improve resident welfare and housing conditions.
- Provide support and advice to tenants, including those who are vulnerable, to promote sustainable living situations.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Previous experience in a Housing Officer role or similar within the social housing sector.
- Knowledge of current housing laws and an understanding of best practices in housing management.
- Excellent communication skills, capable of building rapport with tenants and working collaboratively with various teams.
- Strong organisational and problem-solving skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
- A customer-focused approach, dedicated to meeting the needs of residents and enhancing their quality of life.
