Housing Services Manager

Hours: 37 Hours per week.

Location: Head Office, Festival Park, Stoke on Trent

Salary: £35,634.45 per annum

Are you an experienced Housing Services Manager looking for a role within an Organisation that is at the heart of helping people to thrive? If so, this role may be for you. Since 1974, as a Registered Provider of Social Housing and Supported Accommodation we have been supporting those in need.   

We are looking for an experienced Housing Services Manager to join our team at our Stoke on Trent Head Office. You will play a key role in delivering housing and support services to customers who have been referred through the Local Authority and other service providers, ensuring appropriate safeguarding protocols are adhered to.

Key Responsibilities will include:

  • Leading, motivating and managing a team of housing professionals/specialists including setting objectives, conducting regular 1-2-1 meetings and dealing with any people management issues
  • Managing and preparing budgets
  • Providing expert advice in relation to Anti-Social Behaviour and other enforcement activities
  • Development and implementation of our customer engagement strategy across the whole business
  • Identifying any gaps in service provision and devising our future service plan to deliver seamless and consistent benefits for our customers and colleagues across Homelessness and Housing Teams
  • Ensuring our centralised customer service team delivers unified and consistent service for our customers especially within the areas of Tenancy and Licencing
  • Developing added value services to assist people with a variety of needs/vulnerabilities to access services and sustain their accommodation

What You will need:

  • Previous Experience in a Housing Services Manager role including full budget responsibility
  • Experience working with the needs of our customer group; including but not limited to those with Learning Disabilities, Entrenched Homelessness, Mental Health, Drug and Alcohol Dependencies, dual diagnosis
  • Previous experience in leading, motivating and managing a team of multi-skilled individuals and establishing a customer service team, including objective setting, 1-2-1s and coaching
  • Demonstrable experience in managing and resolving rent arrears, property condition, abandonment/non-engagement with support services, anti-social behaviour and similar issues within a Registered Social Landlord organisation or similar
  • A professional housing related qualification (e.g. HNC Level 3/4) and/or corporate membership of the Chartered Institute of Housing
  • An awareness of Building Safety Legislation and Landlord obligations
  • GCSE Maths and English (Grade C or higher)
  • A full driving licence and access to a vehicle insured for business use
