HPC Systems Engineer - Linux, Networks & Storage - Hybrid working - Buckinghamshire - UK

Leading Edge Technology Company who specialize in High Performance Data-Centric Computing are looking to hire an experienced HPC Systems Engineer to act as a conduit between the development and infrastructure teams. In essence, you will be a hands on Linux Systems Administrator that has experience of both on-prem and remote access data-centre configuration, patching, network and security hardening protocols. You will be required to be on-site for new hardware installs and high level trouble-shooting on a pre-agreed "as and when" basis but there is some flexibility to work remotely. Although this is essentially a hybrid position (60/40 split) the Managers are considerate and open to a flexible work pattern within reason.

To be considered you must have the following technical experience. Expert level Linux Systems Administration background O/S and Infrastructure. Very strong scripting in Python and BASH. HPC Storage protocols like NVMeOF. NVMe, TCP, RoCE etc. Any experience with clustered or parallel file systems such as GPFS, BeeGFS, Stornext, Lustre, NFS will be valuable. Cloud IaaS. CTDB, CI/CD, Ansible, Git, Elasticsearch, Prometheus & Grafana. Django/Flask also desirable. You will also have good documentation skills for generating play books and for knowledge share. As well as great communication skills at all levels.

Salary range is £60,000 to £75,000pa + excellent benefits package
