My client are looking for a HR Advisor to join their team on a 12-month fixed-term contract. This role is based in Colchester and offers a unique opportunity to make a significant impact within my clients Distribution Division. As a HR Advisor, you will partner with managers and employees, providing comprehensive HR support and contributing to the full employee life cycle.

Day to Day of the Role:
  • Act as the first point of contact for managers, offering guidance on a range of HR topics including talent management, reward, and employee relations.
  • Coach and support managers and employees on wellness and other HR-related areas.
  • Play a pivotal role in the onboarding process, career progression, and family leave planning.
  • Support approximately 350 individuals, promoting a proactive approach and meticulous attention to detail.
  • Collaborate with the L&D team to facilitate learning and growth opportunities.
  • Engage in various HR activities, gaining exposure to different teams across the business.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
  • Experience in handling diverse HR elements such as disciplinary actions, grievances, absence management, and Union relationships.
  • Proven background in a generalist HR role, with direct engagement with managers.
  • Solid understanding of employment law and HR best practices.
  • Motivated to develop professionally and capable of building relationships across business areas.
  • Familiarity with HRIS systems is beneficial.
  • CIPD qualification is advantageous.
  • Proficiency in the Microsoft Office suite.
  • Excellent organisational skills and the ability to manage competing priorities effectively.

This is a hybrid role with an expectation to work from the office in Colchester 3-4 times a week, with occasional activities and meetings in my clients London office.
