About the team and the role:

Reporting into the HR Business Partner, you will play an integral part in helping build out our HR offering in a fast-growing company in an exciting time of transition. This role will work in partnership with the Talent Development, Talent Acquisition, Payroll and HR Operations functions, to provide solutions focused advice and support and also support on key projects.

Your key stakeholder group will be our UK Retail business, which have made 14 acquisitions over recent years and have recently gone through a consultation to bring them together under one legal entity as we move towards becoming One Acrisure. The role will require regular travel to different offices across the UK.

The quality of advice and service grows from a thorough understanding of their business, and that understanding comes from working closely with them and building long-lasting relationships.

How you'll contribute:

The purpose of this role is to work in partnership and provide professional advice and guidance to managers and employees on various human resources matters. This comprises commercially focused people solutions that take into account company policies and procedures, employment legislation, and HR best practice. In this role you'll also have responsibility for:

• Employee relations - Supporting on all aspect of the employee lifecycle and managing and advising on ER matters such as flexible working requests, performance management, employee absence and informal ER challenges.
• Pragmatic application of employment legislation and company policy to educate managers to avoid possible litigation to the Company.
• Local facilitation of Acrisure processes; application and interpretation of benefits, company policies and contractual terms and conditions.
• Working with Senior HR Advisor on drafting and reviewing of new or existing policies.
• Actively promote and implement new initiatives and changes either within the company or the wider arena of HR.
• Interpret HR data such as exit interview analysis, sickness information to identify areas for improvement and recommendations.
• Support on embedding a new HRIS (Workday) and self-service in the business for transactional HR activities.
• Involvement in HR projects and new initiatives; willing to undertake any other relevant activity as reasonably requested.

Requirements:

You'll be someone who is both comfortable working proactively and managing your own tasks, as well as confident collaborating with others and communicating regularly with senior managers, external advisors, and employees. You'll be encouraged to identify and draw attention to opportunities for enhancing our delivery, processes and ensuring populations are appropriately upskilled and compliant from a HR perspective.

You'll be someone with:

• Previous HR experience as a HR generalist
• Good understanding of employment legislation
• Direct experience of advising on and managing the employee lifecycle
• Proven experience of building effective relationships with internal client base with strong stakeholder management skills
• Part or full CIPD qualification is desirable
• Prior experience working within financial services or a regulated environment is desirable.

• 2nd stage in-person interview with the Hiring Manager and further senior manager.
