Our client are a Charity group based in South Birmingham and they are looking for a HR Advisor to help support their diverse workforce.
Reporting directly to the Head of HR supporting a diverse workforce of c. 120 employees this is an amazing opportunity to be mentored by a highly experienced Head of HR, happy to involve you in many different strategic projects as well as managing the day to day operations of a generalist HR Advisor role.
The charity are able to offer fully flexible working and can consider part time or full time working with core hours being 10am to 3pm Monday to Friday and hybrid working with c. 2 days a week in the office for meetings.
Day to day duties include:
- Act as first line support to employees for any HR related matters
- Lead of employee relations cases from absence management, performance management and more complex disciplinary and grievances with support of HR lead
- Work with managers to up-skill and coach through any employee relation matters
- Contract updates and amendments
- Policy writing
- Supporting managers with recruitment from adverts to on-boarding
- Supporting finance team with monthly payroll
- Deliver diversity and inclusion interventions
- Keeping employee database and documents up to date
For this role you need to be an experienced HR professional, ideally CIPD qualified or be able to demonstrate considerable knowledge in UK employment law and be someone who is able to work in a constantly changing environment. Prior payroll experience or a willingness to take on monthly Payroll responsibilities would be desired along with a strong working knowledge of Microsoft excel.
You will have experience in and be competent in handling employee relations cases independently and be an excellent relationship manager able to influence and engage management of all levels with HR matters.
You will be someone who is ambitious and motivated and have the opportunity to be coached by an excellent Head of HR willing to expose you to multiple strategic projects from change management to learning and development to Employee engagement and more.
