Our Head Office, Compensation and Benefits Department is looking to recruit an additional enthusiastic, organised, and proactive HR Specialist.  This is a fantastic opportunity to join a small but hard-working and motivated team.

As a Lidl HR and Compensation Specialist, you’ll be responsible for managing key areas of Lidl’s remuneration policies, processes and practices as well as supporting on key compensation and benefits projects. You will play a pivotal role in delivering the annual compensation review for both hourly and salaried employees, market data gathering and managing short and long-term incentive plans. You’ll also work alongside the team on various projects to enhance the total reward package for our colleagues.

What you'll do

  • Data collection, analysis and salary benchmarking to sustain a competitive compensation offering.
  • Leading compensation projects and working closely with the Benefits team to ensure a competitive total reward package.
  • Managing the rollout of Compensation projects and concepts across our 14 Regional distribution centres and Head Office
  • Developing business cases and proposals and presenting with impact
  • Preparation and communication of Compensation relevant information including internal and external environmental analyses via the (online) communication channels
  • Involvement in the salary exception and role reclassification processes
  • Independent processing of tasks and projects in cooperation with the wider team
  • Organisation of Compensation information events for different target groups across the business
  • Answering ad hoc questions on Compensation and any related topics
  • Creation and updating of Compensation information documents and policy

What you'll need

  • Previous experience working within HR with a track record in problem solving is desirable for this role
  • Ability to analyse large sets of data and identify key themes, anomalies and trends, and translate into summaries and proposals
  • Driven to make an impact – leveraging data to drive proposals and challenge practices, to identify and drive high-impact solutions.
  • Project Management experience – able to evaluate information and formulate into a project plan, involving and keeping stakeholders informed along the way
  • Excellent communication skills – able to articulate and advise on complex queries to a variety of audiences, including senior stakeholders
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Advanced Microsoft Office: PowerPoint, Word and Excel
