HR Assistant
Reed HR are working with a leading utilities company based in Horley who are seeking a dedicated HR Assistant to join their team on a 12 - 14 month fixed-term contract. This role is ideal for a professional who is CIPD Level 3 Qualified and possesses prior HR experience. As an HR Assistant, you will play a crucial role in supporting our HR operations and contributing to the smooth running of the department.
Day-to-day of the role:
- Assist with the recruitment process by identifying candidates, conducting reference checks and issuing employment contracts.
- Support the HR department in implementing policies and procedures.
- Maintain employee records according to policy and legal requirements.
- Review employment and working conditions to ensure legal compliance.
- Help organise training & development initiatives.
- Provide support to employees in various HR-related topics such as leaves and compensation and resolve any issues that may arise.
- Assist in the development and implementation of human resource policies.
- Gather and analyse data with useful HR metrics, like time to hire and employee turnover rates.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- CIPD Level 3 Qualified.
- Proven experience as an HR Assistant or relevant human resources/administrative position.
- Knowledge of HR systems and databases.
- Ability to handle data with confidentiality.
- Good understanding of employment laws and disciplinary procedures.
- Proficient in MS Office; knowledge of HRIS is a plus.
- Excellent organisational and time-management skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
