We are delighted to partner with our client, a hugely successful manufacturing business, in the process of significant growth. The HR Business Partner is responsible for the local site, while collaborating with other UK sites, and is part of the wider EMEA team.

The HRBP role encompasses hire to retire responsibilities including recruitment, absence management, performance management, learning and development, employee engagement and wellbeing.

As a member of the site management team, you will develop the site HR strategy to support the local business strategy, recognising the anticipated growth and site expansion. It is, therefore, preferable that you have experience of being part of a business that is going through a period of growth and have supported a management team in guiding employees through change.

We are looking for a tenacious, ambitious and approachable HRBP, responsible for a range of key deliverables:

  • Work with the MD and Site Director to ensure the HR strategy is aligned to the business needs
  • Facilitate and lead the employee relations issues, including chairing the site employee forum
  • Responsible for managing both internal and external communications for site. The HRBP role will act as the site link, ensuring that global and regional communications are cascaded appropriately at all levels
  • Lead the succession planning and talent management for the site, working with the senior team to establish future succession, talent management requirements and early careers opportunities, with clear plans to resource those requirements including resource forecasting
  • Ensure that the PDR process is embedded within the business and that the management team are confident to deliver this process consistently across all teams
  • Work with managers to undertake a gap-analysis for each role to identify any outstanding training or development requirements

Experience you’ll need:

  • Experienced HR Business Partner in a similar level role in a commercial business
  • CIPD Level 7
  • Experience of influencing at a senior management level is essential
  • Good conceptual and analytical thinking are essential as well as attention to detail, and the ability to work independently
  • Strong interpersonal skills are required in order to be able to confidently and independently advise at all levels and with all groups of employees
