HR Generalist - Financial Services Experience Essential

Financial Services experience is essential and candidates must have an understanding of SMCR.

An excellent opportunity for a CIPD Level 3 qualified HR Generalist to join an established Investment company based in the City. You will work within a close-knit, supportive team of four and support with daily HR activities including recruitment, onboarding and offboarding, developing and maintaining the HRIS and improving policies and procedures.

You will have at least 2-3 years proven experience in a similar role covering the aforementioned areas.

The Role:
  • Respond to general queries via the HR inbox, providing timely and practical advise to managers and employees
  • Manage the recruitment process from start to finish
  • Collaborate with hiring managers and offer advice and guidance
  • Support with inductions for new joiners
  • Support with onboarding and offboarding of all employees
  • Become a super user of the HRIS which has recently been implemented
  • Maintain the system and ensure records are up to date at all times
  • Generate reports via the HRIS
  • Maintain the HR processes and procedures, ensuring this is aligned with regulations
  • Work closely with the HR team to support regulatory activities in relation to SMCR
  • Assist with employee relations matters as needed
  • Get involved with employee engagement and wellbeing initiatives
Essential requirements:
  • Minimum of 2-3 years’ experience in a HR Assistant/Officer or similar role within Financial Services
  • Knowledge of SMCR and other regulations appertaining to Financial Services
  • CIPD Level 3 qualified – ideally working towards CIPD Level 5 or open to this
  • Proficient user of HRIS
  • Understanding of employment law
  • Strong team player
  • Collaborative and supportive
  • Confident and able to suggest new ways of doing things
