This is a fantastic opportunity for a confident, driven and talented HR professional to join an established legal company with offices in SW and Central London.  A standalone role reporting to the Operation Director and with around 100 staff across the business in a multi discipline Law firm.  Please note this is a Hybrid role and will be required to be in the office 3 days per week

You will be the first point of contact for all HR related queries, working closely with the Partners and the Heads of all departments paying up to £70,000.

The successful candidate will:

  • Work closely with all staff and stakeholders to provide proactive and effective HR guidance.
  • Lead all employee relations matters following company guidelines and processes. This includes leading investigations, disciplinaries and grievances by providing advice throughout and supporting & note taking during the meetings.
  • Be responsible for all HR administration, completed to an exceptional standard.
  • Manage the recruitment process for all new starters and work closely with managers and external recruitment partners to find the ideal candidates.
  • Create and deliver the onboarding and induction process for new starters.
  • Absence monitoring and management.
  • Liaise with department managers to resolve performance related issues.
  • Maintain policy and services currently in place with the ability to review and update as required.
  • Create new policies when appropriate.
  • Work with Heads of departments on all Training contract criteria
  • Support the SLT team with company data and provide recommendations to improve processes.
  • Coach line managers to improve upon people management skills.
  • Lead all colleague recognition, reward and engagement initiatives.

Essential:

  • A proven background in HR ideally within a Law firm potentially another partnership type business
  • Confident in managing own case load, making own decisions, and working autonomously.
  • Clear, conscience at delivery information with a high attention to detail
  • Strong employment law knowledge.
  • Experience of coaching and development.
