A fantastic opportunity to work with our expanding SME in the industrial sector. The role is a stand alone role and will report into the SLT. This is an excellent opportunity for a hands-on experienced HR generalist. This role would suit an experienced HR professional who is already at a senior level or a HR Advisor looking to expand their career. People are the fore front of this company and you will join a team that values their employees.

The purpose of the role is to support the Board by delivering the HR strategy that ensures continued profitable growth and delivers the business vision of being best in class. Responsible for the full life cycle of an employee, including developing and implementing HR strategies, policies, and procedures. Key duties include facilitating organisational change, developing people, taking the lead on all employee relations, succession planning and coaching managers to manage, motivate and lead their teams.

Role Responsibilities

  • Build a comprehensive understanding of operational and strategic challenges facing the business and work with the directors to develop a business structure and culture to enable continued business growth whilst reducing the risks and issues.
  • Formalise a communication strategy that best supports the business vision and operational goals.
  • Provide monthly HR reports to the Directors so that better informed decisions can be made.
  • Devise a resourcing, recruitment, and onboarding strategy to attract and retain high quality employees.
  • Encourage a work climate where employees feel they can learn, grow, and feel happy.
  • Working with the Directors, agree and drive through a reward and recognition strategy, including benchmarking of salaries.
  • Coach and develop the managers with the focus on continuous improvement and company profitability.
  • Be responsible for the effective management of Employee Relations within the group.
  • All administration relating to new starters, including adding to payroll.
  • All administration relating to leavers, including producing P45’s.
  • Accountable for correct processing of annual leave, sickness, and all other absence.

Person Specification

  • Commercial awareness with proven management skills.
  • Must be hands-n with a can-do attitude
  • Confident to challenge ideas, whilst using positive influencing skills.
  • An analytical approach to problem solving.
  • Excellent communication & interpersonal skills with the ability to develop and motivate people.
  • A solution provider who is good at generating new ideas and confident at dealing with people at all levels.
  • Previous experience of TUPE would be an advantage.
  • This role would suit an experienced HR professional who is already at a senior level or a HR Advisor looking to expand their career.


The role is 40 hours per week. In return you will receive a salary of between £45,000-£50,000.
