Network HR are leading an exciting search for a HR Operations Manager to join a small, speciality Insurance client for 12 months whilst they undergo significant transformation. As the HR Operations Manager, you will support the Group Head of People to drive change through the team and execute strategic and BAU projects across HR with the objective of delivering first-class HR services to the senior team and all Partnership Group employees. You will be responsible for overseeing all areas of the HR function, including operations, payroll, and benefits admin, ensuring smooth processes, procedures, reporting and analysis along with supervising the HR departments day to day administrative tasks. The overall goal is to ensure that HR runs efficiently in the interests of the organisation. Responsibilities will be to align and optimise HR Operations processes and workflows by:
- Delivering excellent outcomes to the business and its employees across all HR operational activities.
- Ensure clear daily, weekly, monthly, and regular plans are in place for all team members including reporting of HR activities and deliverables
- Working with the HR team to ensure HR processes are managed in the right way whether in house or through an (already identified) service provider.
- Help redesign processes as appropriate to ensure stream-lined company driven success to better meet the needs of business, drive efficiency and improve the employee experience.
- Once the optimisation project has been completed, managing the third-party service provider through to ensure success once it moves into BAU.
- Lead their functional efforts to extract more efficiencies from their HRIS system with a remit to review their current system and whether it remains fit for purpose.
- Includes overseeing MI and reporting
- Managing third party developers
- Improving data inputs, data quality and reporting, work flows etc. Ensuring that the HRIS system is the source of truth for all HR reporting.
- Manage and lead ad-hoc HR projects where appropriate. This could include policy clean-up; HR data protection; support for acquisition/Corporate finance related to corporate activity etc.
- Managing the HR team and delivery of admin and advisory support across the HR team and ensure delivery of HR processes are fit for purpose – redesign and reimplement if needed
- Delivery of regular and ad hoc MI and reporting with and via the team.
- Responsibility for overseeing and keeping the team true to all HR processes across such activity such as annual compensation process, performance management and other regular activities – these need tight monitoring and execution
- Manage the payroll process through their payroll outsource provider but with the aim of outsourcing this relationship to the offshored outsourcing company.
- Assist in HR and annual audits.
- Considerable experience of working in a HR Operations role, in the UK and across other locations
- Relevant experience with project and change management.
- Experience of managing an outsourced and third-party service providers
