Job Advert Location Description
Mill Garth Hospital is a 19-bed high dependency recovery and rehabilitation hospital, located in Meanwood, Leeds. We provide active and positive engagement for males aged 18 years and over, who experience a range of mental health disorders.
Function:
To provides efficient, professional and effective administrative support to managers within a Priory hospital, ensuring the Company’s human resources policies and procedures are used appropriately in relation to the employment of staff at the Hospital.
Job Advert Role Description
Knowledge & Skills
The post holder should be educated to A level or equivalent, and should have attained or be prepared to study for the Certificate in Personnel Practice (S/NVQ3). You should possess excellent keyboard and numeracy skills and an intermediate level of proficiency for the standard range of office applications, including payroll applications.
Experience
Experience working within a human resource department is essential. if you have worked in a finance environment as well, this would be advantageous.
Autonomy & Impact
You must have the ability to organises and prioritises own work, and supervise the work of others, within established procedures; discussing more complex issues to your line manager. You need to have the ability to prioritise yours and others work to accommodate urgent items as a result of unplanned operational issues.
Intelligent Problem Solving
Generally, you will work within existing procedures and processes, however, there will be the need for a flexible and practical approach to problem solving and for you to show some adaptive thinking in seeking solutions.
Responsibility
Staff
You will be required to supervise members of the admin team.
Budgets & equipment
Collective responsibility for the care and security for equipment and consumables on site.
Informatics
Responsible for the security, confidentiality and accuracy of all HR and finance data, information and personnel filing, relevant systems and registers.
Communication & Interaction
Communication is an important part of the role and will regularly require some judgement, as information will need to be gathered and exchanged to facilitate administrative processes and relationship management. The range of communications within this role can be contentious from time to time. The range of priorities and deadlines will also put demands on you.
