HR Team Leader

This is an exciting opportunity for a HR Team Leader to join a company based in Worthing on a full time, permanent basis. Hours are Monday to Friday, 37 hours a week. The salary is £26k-£32k per annum (DOE). This is an office-based position, however hybrid working may be available after a successful probation period.

Duties will include but not be limited to:

  • First point of contact for employee queries and external agencies including Vacancy Filler and 360 Resourcing; via telephone and email
  • Managing the HR Service Team to deliver an agile, customer focused service to recruiting managers
  • Preparing salary assessments and carrying out job evaluations for new or existing roles
  • Developing effective working relationships with managers to ensure their needs are met as much as possible
  • Updating the policy and procedure documents and induction packs for all new starters
  • Ensuring electronic files are accurate and up to date and meet internal & external audit requirements
  • Supporting the Director of HR and HR Manager with ad hoc tasks as required

Skills/Knowledge required:

  • Must be CIPD qualified Level 5
  • Experience of recruitment of staff and providing HR related advice
  • Supervisory or management experience
  • Experience negotiating with external providers
  • Writing and reviewing policies and procedures
  • Designing and completing training courses
  • Using coaching principles to help managers resolve HR-related situations
  • Knowledge of up-to-date employment legislation, including the Equality Act 2010
  • Knowledge of HR policies and procedures
  • Good use of Microsoft Office applications including Word, Excel and Outlook
  • GCSE Maths and English Grade C or above (or equivalent)
