Elevation Recruitment Group are exclusively partnered with a leading, independent manufacturer who are looking to strengthen the team with the appointment of an experienced HSE Manager. With an excellent reputation and a strong presence within its markets, the business are expanding rapidly into new categories and territories. 

This is an excellent opportunity for an established and experienced HSE Manager from within the manufacturing industry to join the business which is on an exceptional growth curve. Reporting to the Compliance Manager, the brief is to manage all aspects of Health, Safety and environmental compliance, ensuring all legal requirements are met along with company policies and procedures.

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Manage HSE programme to ensure compliance to legal, local and company policy requirements
  • Develop and maintain site SOP’s
  • Maintain SOP matrix and review process
  • Develop and maintain HSE training matrix
  • Manage and organise any external training required e.g. first aider, fire marshal, fire extinguisher.
  • Develop and manage a site HSE audit schedule.
  • Lead HSE site audits and ensure any corrective actions are completed to deliver continual improvement.
  • Carry out risk assessments and set schedules for review.
  • Carry out COSHH assessments and set schedules for review.
  • Develop environmental policy and ensure compliance

I'm keen to speak to HSE Manager's with the following skillset:

  • Practical hands-on experience in a similar role in an FMCG manufacturing business.
  • NEBOSH or NVQ Level 6 Diploma
  • IEMA foundation certificate or higher
  • Experience on ISO standards auditing requirements
