Join our Clients dynamic and innovative engineering team as a temporary HSE Officer, potential to go permanent! We are looking for a proactive and detail-oriented individual to ensure the health, safety, and welfare of all employees within our manufacturing environment. This is an exciting opportunity to make a real impact and contribute to a positive and safe working culture.

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct thorough reviews of risk assessments and identify areas for improvement
  • Perform dynamic risk assessments to identify potential hazards and implement appropriate control measures
  • Monitor and enforce compliance with COSHH regulations
  • Assist in the development and delivery of HSE training programmes
  • Conduct regular inspections and audits to ensure adherence to safety standards
  • Investigate accidents, incidents, and near misses, and provide recommendations for prevention
  • Collaborate with our dedicated team to continuously improve our HSE practises
  • Stay up to date with relevant legislation and industry best practises

Skills and Experience:

  • Previous experience in a similar HSE role within an engineering or manufacturing environment
  • Strong knowledge of risk assessment principles and techniques
  • Familiarity with COSHH regulations and their application within a workplace
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage with individuals at all levels
  • Proven ability to work autonomously and prioritise tasks effectively
  • NEBOSH certificate or equivalent qualification is highly desirable
  • Passion for promoting a positive safety culture and driving continuous improvement

Duration and Working Pattern:

  • This is a temporary position, starting from immediately, until March 2025, though it has the potential to go permanent.
  • The role is full-time, with a working pattern to be determined.
