HSE Officer

We are a leading global supplier of specialist automotive products, committed to delivering high-quality and innovative solutions to our customers. As part of our dedication to excellence and safety, we are seeking a skilled and experienced HSE Officer to join our team based in Bristol.

The HSE Officer will be responsible for ensuring that the company complies with health, safety, and environmental regulations. This role involves conducting incident investigations, performing root cause analyses, and ensuring adherence to ISO standards and HSE regulations. The HSE Officer will play a pivotal role in promoting a culture of safety and environmental responsibility within the organization.

Location: Bristol, UK

Salary: Up to £47,000 per annum + Car / Car Allowance + Pension + 25 days holiday + Employee Assistance Programme + Life Assurance

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct thorough incident investigations and perform root cause analyses to prevent recurrence.
  • Ensure compliance with HSE regulations, including ISO45001 and ISO14001 standards.
  • Lead HSE audits and maintain certification for ISO standards.
  • Keep HSE management software systems updated.
  • Develop and maintain HSE policies and procedures in line with regulatory requirements and best practices.
  • Conduct regular HSE training and awareness programs for employees.
  • Monitor and report on HSE performance, identifying areas for improvement.
  • Collaborate with various departments to ensure HSE compliance across all operations.
  • Stay updated with changes in HSE regulations and industry standards.
  • Prepare and submit detailed HSE reports to senior management.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • NEBOSH qualification or equivalent in Health and Safety.
  • Proven experience in incident investigation and root cause analysis.
  • Ideally certified ISO Lead Auditor.
  • Extensive knowledge of ISO45001 and ISO14001 standards.
  • Experience in HSE auditing and compliance.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and generate reports.
  • Proficiency in using HSE management software.
  • Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Ideally based in or willing to relocate to Bristol.
