HSE Specialist

Salary icon £50,000 - £54,000 per annum

Elevation Recruitment Group are currently partnered with a leading chemical manufacturer in Middlesborough who are looking for a HSE Specialist to oversee their manufacturing operation.

Reporting into the UK HSE Manager, the role will take ownership for the sites policies, systems and the business are looking for a dynamic individual who can drive a positive culture across all levels. The business have multiple sites within the UK and a presence in over 36 countries.

Duties & Responsibilities include:

  • Implementation, development and maintenance of health, safety and environment programmes according to company standards and local regulations.
  • Evaluating production processes, systems and technology and recommending changes that will improve safety and reduce environment impact of the organisation’s operations.
  • Support, develop and maintain ISO management systems and the maintenance of the audit process.
  • Developing, co-ordinating and providing training in HSE topics to ensure employee understanding with the organisation’s policies and standards.

I'm keen to speak to experienced HSE professionals with the following skillset:

  • Holds a NEBOSH Certificate 
  • Experience of working with and implementing ISO14001/45001
  • Previous experience within an engineering/manufacturing environment
  • Strong communication skills
