As Health and Safety Manager of our Livingston and Lockerbie sites you will play a critical role in ensuring that all operations are conducted safely and responsibly. Your leadership will ensure that we create a site culture that protects our employees, whilst safeguarding the environment. Utilising your expertise and dedication – you will ensure that health and safety and environmental issues are at the forefront of our operations.
As part of your role you will manage and develop the Health, Safety and Environmental function of the site. You will ensure the right skills, processes, materials, information and procedures are in place to meet; legislative requirements, customers’ requirements, and the standards established by formal management systems (e.g. ISO 14001/ISO 50001/ISO 45001).
You will have experience of working with all levels of stakeholders, with the ability to coach, advise and drive a safety improvement culture. You will have a strategic outlook, working closely with the site leadership to develop annual HSE Plans with monthly objectives and targets. As the successful candidate you will be the management representative for HSER management systems as well as the point of contact for external stakeholders such as regulators and insurers.
As well as managing HSER you will also have responsibility for contributing to the wider Central HSER team. You will use your experience to help define strategy, policies and processes across the business to help drive our HSER goals and agenda.
This role will require you to operate 4 days from our Livingston site and 1 day from our Lockerbie site.
