The HSQE Coordinator role is being put in place to help support the HSQE Manager and HSQE team in ensuring the company is fully compliant with UK law and best practice standards and play a key part in establishing and maintaining the HSQE governance structure across the business.

My client is a fast growing Telecoms company dedicated to driving change across the local area and beyond.

Description

Core Responsibilities

  • Monitor and update the IMS system for all relevant HSQE information.
  • Support with the development and implementation of HSQE documentation, policies & procedures, risk assessments, accident investigations, internal audits, and induction training.
  • Co-ordinate and review HSQE training requirements across the organisation.
  • Ensure that audits and inspections are documented.
  • Oversee the provision of PPE to direct labour employees.
  • Ensure all statutory obligations around service and maintenance of plant and equipment are carried out in a timely manner.
  • Oversee the Health & Safety requirements of Building and facilities and support the Estates Manager. where applicable.
  • Maintain the Valto document control system - liaise with Freedom Fibre managers to ensure that the system remains compliant.
  • To assist with scheduling meetings and documenting minutes.
  • Support the HSQE department in meeting the needs and expectations of the construction phase in accordance with the CDM regulations etc.
  • To work with contractors and employers to ensure that a safe environment is always maintained.

Profile

Essential Qualifications

  • Nebosh Certificate - General or Construction
  • ISO accreditation training / experience (lead auditor, general awareness)

Essential Skills & Experience

  • Minimum 3 years' experience in a HSQE role
  • Understanding & interpreting legal requirements
  • Experience and knowledge of ISO 45001, 9001 & 14001 accreditations
  • Experience with safety site visits/subcontractors
  • Experience and knowledge of the CDM regulations etc.
  • Confidence to have a positive impact on the company
  • Attention to detail and a persistent approach to following up enquiries
  • Be able to communicate effectively and professionally with internal and external clients

Desirable Skills & Experience

  • Experience of creating high level communications and documentation
  • Experience in a Telecoms Health & Safety role
