£35.000 plus benefits

Working pattern is 3 days working from home, 1 day office based, and 1 day possibly to other site/s (close to Welwyn Garden City)

Working hours are Monday to Friday 8am to 5pm or 9am - 6pm with an hour lunch.

A driving license is essential for this role.

This will be a 2 stage interview process - first stage, virtual, the second stage will be face to face - competency based

The role

As a HR Advisor, you will be working with senior HR colleagues to help deliver the people agenda. Your role will include Employee Relations advisory responsibility supporting site management with ER issues, ensuring that they are dealt with effectively.

About you:

  • Provide visible leadership and direction across the business, build positive relationships to ensure strong levels of team engagement and be an ambassador for the organisation.
  • Advise, coach and support Managers in HR activities where appropriate, including grievance and disciplinary processes, absence reviews, performance management, pay and benefits.
  • Take the lead on designated employee relations cases to successful conclusion.
  • Provide advice on HR policies and procedures, including the implications of employment law and practices.
  • Contribute to the development of HR policies, strategies, and procedures to ensure they reflect good practice and meet legislative requirements.
  • Maintain confidentiality when dealing with all sensitive data.
  • Assist and support the colleague lifecycle from starter to leaver including recruitment, employment contracts, induction, performance management, employee relations, learning and development, pay and benefits
  • Work with the HRBP on specific HR projects as required e.g. acquisitions/TUPE.

About you and essential experience

  • A minimum of 3 years working in HR Advisory position
  • Experience of leading on Employee Relations cases (not supporting)
  • Sound HR Generalist experience and up to date knowledge for employment law.
  • Excellent communication skills both written and verbal.
  • Good stakeholder management skills
