An outstanding SEND school in Ealing are looking for a qualified teacher to join their school in September to teach humanities within their secondary provision. 

The Role

In this role you will be based in the secondary school provision teaching humanities (History, RE and Geography) to students ages 11 – 16 years with autism. Classes have no more than 8 students who are grouped according to peer relationships and ability level. You will be working alongside other teachers and support staff at the school and will work closely to ensure you are delivering positive outcomes for all pupils.

The school are looking for a qualified teacher who has knowledge and experience of teaching students with autism.  Whilst you will lead in teaching humanities, the school would ideally like to find a teacher who would be comfortable to teach ICT and computing lessons and activities so competent IT skills are important.

This role is offered on a full-time contract basis starting in September.

This welcoming SEND school is based in Ealing and specialises in supporting learners from 4 to 22 years old with autism. Rated outstanding by Ofsted the school provides a creative and supportive education to 70 students. The vast majority of pupils have a diagnosis of autism and the school is tailored to meet pupils needs in specialist environment led by dedicated and well-trained staff. Alongside teachers, the school’s staff team includes psychologists, behaviour specialists and therapists. The school offers excellent career development opportunities and training in a busy, vibrant and caring community. The school is easily accessible by car and public transport.
