Talent-UK are delighted to be working exclusively with our client based In West Yorkshire. Our client is a well-established organisation who specialise in IT & Telecomms.

Due to growth our client is now looking to recruit a full time permanent Hybrid Engineer to work Monday to Friday 9am to 5.30pm. This role is hybrid working two days in the office and three from home. On call is required 1 in 5 with an additional payment. Their average calls are 1 per month.

The role:

  • Site surveys
  • Termination and installation of Cat 5E/6
  • Install, programme and commission VOIP telephone systems
  • Provide support for a range of infrastructure technologies, including networking, switches, firewalls, Windows servers and end-user systems
  • Planning and co-ordinating the installation of IT and Telecoms systems
  • Train customers on use of systems
  • Maintain and troubleshoot system faults as required on customer sites
  • To provide accurate and prompt reporting
  • Liaise with and update other departments

Essential requirements

  • Possess a proven track record with an extensive knowledge - primarily involving field installation/maintenance of ideally Avaya IP Office/8x8/3CX and MS Teams
  • Experience in supporting and deployment of key IT infrastructure such as switches, firewalls, Windows servers and end-user systems
  • Working understanding of Local Area Networks and Wide Area Networks
  • Cabling installation and fault finding; this could include Ethernet or Telephone Wiring
  • Able to work towards and meet tight deadlines
  • Have a flexible approach to the working day
  • Understand moves and changes to PABX systems
  • Basic networking principals
  • A high attention to detail
  • Experience of programming and diagnostics
  • Previous proven engineering experience with a telecoms engineering environment

Desirable

  • 5 Years in a Field based environment
  • Experience using Dynamics 365
  • Legacy system knowledge such as Panasonic, NEC, Alcatel
