ICT Teacher

- Job Type: Full-time, Fixed Term Contract (4 months with potential for permanent position)

We are seeking an enthusiastic ICT Teacher to join the team at a vibrant and dynamic school in Bristol. This is a fixed-term contract starting from September, with a strong likelihood of becoming a permanent role following a successful interview process. As well as teaching ICT, the successful candidate will be responsible for tutoring a Year 7 group, teaching Lifeskills (PSHE), and delivering Computer Science lessons to students from Year 7 through to Year 12.
Day-to-day of the role:- Serve as a tutor to a Year 7 group, providing guidance and support to students.
- Teach Lifeskills (PSHE) for 2-6 lessons per fortnight, with a fully planned and prepared curriculum.
- Deliver engaging and informative Computer Science lessons across Year 7 to Year 12, with the opportunity to teach A Level content.
- Prepare lesson plans and materials, ensuring alignment with curriculum standards.
- Assess and evaluate students’ progress, providing constructive feedback and setting targets.
- Mark student work and contribute to the development of resources and teaching strategies.
- Participate in departmental meetings, professional development, and school events.
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent teaching qualification.
- Degree in ICT, Computer Science, or a related field.
- Experience teaching ICT and Computer Science at secondary school level.
- Ability to teach A Level Computer Science is highly desirable.
- Strong understanding of the current curriculum and teaching methods.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Commitment to inclusive education and the ability to cater to a diverse range of learning needs.
- Organisational skills and the ability to manage time effectively.
