Job Title: ILS Engineer

Location:Great Baddow, Cowes, or Broad Oak. We offer a range of hybrid and flexible working arrangements – please speak to your recruiter about the options for this particular role.

Salary: Up to £52,210 dependent on experience

What you’ll be doing:

  • Manage and drive their own areas and activities of analysis, monitoring their own progress, quality and performance, reporting as required and seeking assistance when necessary
  • Participate in and contribute to team discussions adopting and applying the direction given and complying with the required outputs and directives
  • Ensure compliance and coherence with the analysis plan, schedule and supporting documentation
  • Liaise with stakeholders
  • Support any and all governance activities as required
  • Monitor and manage time and cost reporting for themselves providing aid as requested
  • Comply with business requirements relating to (attendance, time keeping and reporting, expenses incurred, professional behaviours, security and commercial considerations)

Your skills and experiences:

  • Understand the full suite and range of ILS responsibilities and activities as detailed in the relevant Standards (e.g. Def Stan 00-600)
  • A degree in a technical subject or equivalent experience is required
  • Applying their theoretical knowledge to solve problems using well proven analytical techniques
  • Successfully applying their knowledge to deliver the required analysis and supporting reports using established technologies and methods
  • Commitment to professional engineering values

Desirable

  • Radar knowledge would be useful but it is not essential

Working as part of a wider product team representing and working with others to ensure the ILS requirements are addressed. Also being an active member of a functional discipline across multiple products and areas including – Radar, Underwater Systems, Training and Boats & Autonomy.
