Ocean Import Operator

Location: Basildon, United Kingdom

Salary: Up to £30,000 (depending on experience)

Job Type: Full-time

Responsibilities:

  • Arrange transport for ocean shipments, including LCL (Less than Container Load) and FCL (Full Container Load), both import and export.
  • Obtain, check, and prepare documentation to meet customs and insurance requirements, packaging specifications, and compliance with overseas countries’ regulations and fiscal regimes.
  • Process customs documentation on the export system.
  • Answer phone queries and communicate with customers, clients, and coworkers.
  • Keep day-to-day business running smoothly, ensuring timely updates for customers and agents.
  • Assist with invoicing and credit control.
  • Provide expert advice to clients regarding logistics processes and shipping questions.

Experience:

  • Minimum 1 year of Ocean Import experience.
  • Start-to-finish experience
  • Attention to detail and good IT skills.
