(Import Operator) - Position Overview

Our client is a leading provider of National and International logistics services, responsible for all import cargo from the UK & Ireland to various countries across the globe

They are now looking to add an Import Operator to their incredible team with some individual focus within the department whilst ensuring you can work as part of a team to meet the company's objectives.

(Import Operator) - Position Requirements

• Building digital files if the clients/ customers using information from SAP/Dynamics
• Creating Customs entries using software/ applications such as Descartes/Destin8/CDS/IPAFFS
• Bookings/ Quotations
• Liaising with customers for delivery instructions/documentation
• Arranging delivery of cargo through third party hauliers
• Arranging collection of cargo from our terminal/warehouse
• Passing supplier invoices
• Obtaining and negotiating rates from suppliers to create quotations.
• Producing discharge lists for terminals
• Sea Freight/ Shipment experience would be advantageous.

(Import Operator) - Position Remuneration

• Salary - £30,000 - £33,000 (Depending on Experience)
• Monday - Friday 0900 - 1700
• Weekend work required
• 20 days holiday increasing to 25 with length of service.
• Bank holidays are additional to the companies usual holiday entitlement however need to be covered should there be a vessel call - Those working the Bank Holiday would be given a day in lieu.
• Company will contribute 8% to our current pension scheme
