Independent Living Area Manager

Bedford (Hybrid working)

£38,426.20 per annum plus car allowance

Permanent

Full time (37 hours per week)

We are currently looking for a dedicated Independent Living Area Manager to lead our Specialist Housing in delivering high-quality services to our customers. If you possess a strong background in housing and working with customers with additional needs, we invite you to apply:

What you will be doing:

  • Effectively lead your team, clearly communicating departmental and organisational goals with a strong focus on customer strategy.

  • Maintain comprehensive oversight of all case management within your team, ensuring proactive and preventative measures are implemented.

  • Demonstrate a strong commitment to safeguarding by supporting team members in reporting and managing all resident-related cases.

  • Lead efforts in liaising, networking, and negotiating with local authorities and support providers to enhance service delivery.

  • Guide and inspire a specialist team to deliver services to a diverse range of customer with additional or complex needs.

We’d love to meet someone with:

  • Proven ability to lead, motivate, and develop a strong team.

  • Extensive experience in tenancy and neighbourhood management.

  • Solid experience working with vulnerable clients and a thorough understanding of safeguarding practices.

  • Excellent knowledge of housing and related legislation, including the management of different tenures.

  • Strong experience in debt management.

  • Demonstrated experience in working collaboratively with external organisations.

  • Excellent negotiation and influencing abilities.

  • Strong written communication and report writing skills.
