A fantastic opportunity for an Indirect Category Buyer to join a well-established manufacturing organisation based at a Stockport site as well as Yorkshire offering a salary up to £55,000. The Indirect Category Buyer will sit the in purchasing team, with excellent opportunity for career development.
Candidates who have previous experience purchasing indirect such as services, maintenance and HR within a manufacturing organisation will be suited for this position.
Role responsibility of the Indirect Category Buyer role:
- Preparing executing and evaluating tenders
- Negotiating contracts, driving and implementing contracts locally
- Developing and implementing procurement strategies for local categories
- Managing suppliers' relationships and conducting performance reviews
- Controlling the spending and fostering the use of standard tools and processes in the region and act as a key point of contact for the sits procurements needs
- Ensuring that the purchasing needs of technical goods and services are met
- Developing and maintaining close and productive relationships with key stakeholders
Person specification of the Indirect Category Buyer role:
- A professional qualification in purchasing, such as CIPs or at least 5 years strategic buyer experience
- Experience in purchasing indirect' s ideally services, site services, maintenance and HR
- Experience using SAP
- Strong commercial/ contract negotiation skills
- The ability to build relationships, influence and gain corporation across all regions
- A valid UK driving licence
Salary
£50-£55k

This role will be well suited if you have held a role in purchasing or procurement as an Indirect Buyer, Indirect Category Buyer, Category Manager, Purchasing Team Leader, Indirect Purchasing Specialist, Procurement Team leader or an Indirect Senior Buyer
