Role: Indirect Tax manager
Location: Central London - Hybrid working with 3 days in the office and 2 days from home
Pay rate: £450 to £700 per day depending on experience (PAYE - Inside IR35)
Start: by end of July/early August 2024
Expected duration: 9 Months (May extend)

Our client is a global tech e-commerce business. Their EMEA Indirect tax team are looking for an indirect tax manager. The role is to assist the EMEA Tax Planning team to manage e-invoicing/e-reporting launches in the region.

Specifically, the candidate will be required to analyses legislation, draft tax requirements documents, work with stakeholders/partner teams to understand and build against those requirements. The candidate will require excellent written and verbal communication skills, the ability to work under pressured deadlines and to manage engagements with external service providers such as tax advisers and/or lawyers.

Responsibilities

  • Reading tech requirements, law, and guidance.
  • Drafting guidance in tax requirement documents or smaller guidance documents, communication with partner teams, accounting, finance ops, legal, business owners, verbal and written communication.Interacting with tax colleagues across the business.
  • Dealing with global teams, stakeholders, new regulations.
  • Interact with various teams across the business


Requirements

  • Around 10 years' experience ideally with one of big 4 accountancy firms, in house tax roles at large companies.
  • Qualifications desirable but experience more important, tax professional qualification, law degrees, chartered accountants.
  • Experience analysing tax legislation and drafting tax requirement documents (preferably for EU entities)
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
  • Experience with presenting to senior leadership
