A growing, reputable Law Firm in Blackburn is looking for a driven and dedicated Industrial Disease paralegal with a focus on Noise Induced Hearing Loss (NIHL) claims - including Ministry of Defence.

Role Responsibilities:

  • Manage NIHL and industrial disease claims from start to finish.
  • Conduct assessments, take witness statements, and secure medical evidence.
  • Draft legal documents, including claim letters and court papers.
  • Liaise with clients, medical professionals, barristers, insurers, and defendants.
  • Investigate breaches of health and safety regulations.
  • Ensure compliance with CPR and pre-action protocols.
  • Stay updated on industrial disease litigation developments.

Skills & Experience:

  • Proven experience handling a caseload of Noise Induced Hearing Loss (NIHL) Industrial Disease claims.
  • Excellent client care, legal research, and organisational skills.
  • Ability to manage a busy caseload independently.
  • Proficient in case management systems.

Desirable:

  • Experience with asbestos, HAVs, or respiratory illness claims.
  • Knowledge of medical causation and expert reports.
